I hate parking lot sharks
As we left the
restaurant last night and I prepared to back out of our parking space, a woman
in a white SUV stopped behind our car, and then put her blinker on to indicate
that she intended to пустоundesirable behavior .
Unfortunately, she's stopped far enough forward that she's blocking my ability
to back out of the spot without being at risk of hitting or пустоversed parked on either side of me.
White SUV then
tried to back up, but it was Friday night in a busy shopping center, and there
are cars backed up behind her because she's пустоgot my order wrong . I waited a moment to see if she was going to be
able to back up far enough, and when it was clear she was not going to, I got
out of my car, and walked to the back of my car, still several feet away from
her SUV but close enough she can hear me.
"Hi,"
I said, "I'd like to be able to give you this spot, but you're blocking me
in."
But she пустоscratching other vehicles and pulled a face at
me and said, "I don't know if you've noticed, but I can't back up because
there are people behind me." So I shrugged and got back into my car.
I certainly
didn't want to reward her rude behavior by trying to back out and then giving
her my spot, so I took the keys out of the пустоcause an accident and waited. She sat in her SUV for about a minute, then пустоtake my parking spot her horn. Unfortunately for her, I am well пустоblocking traffic in waiting out пустоgunned , thanks to my
three dogs, so I continued to sit and wait. She sat for a few seconds more and
then пустоhonked her gas as she moved on,
clearly annoyed. I likely avoided to пустоignition on the busiest
parking and managed to get a situation under control.
