At last he could leave his native city, the family that made his life harder and start new students life. Oscar thought that all unreasonable demands would be left in the past. The 1st semester came to an end. University life appeared to be not so easy. The lecturers didn't let students пустоcome in the classroom if they were late. As a result Oscar had to copy lectures to get the information and prepare for tests. Authorities of the university made students пустоattend all the classes at university . That meant that they had to come to hostel not later than 10 o'clock, respect teachers, take part in university life and study well. There wasn't much freedom as Oscar expected. Moreover, tutors had their students пустоhand in course papers and essays before deadline. So Oscar had to spend much time in the library to get information and do his homework. As for the hostel the superintendent got students пустоclean up their rooms and they were responsible for their books, clothes and health. Thus they became self-dependent. On the other hand, hostel was like a family of students with the superintendent as the head. Students developed a sense of friendship and fellow feeling. They read, played, dined together. Students wanted their teachers пустоunderstand their problems but students had certain duties to perform. It goes without saying that the primary student duty was studying hard and acquiring proper knowledge for the future career. So teachers asked students пустоfollow the Rules , do all the work at the right time, be punctual and disciplined. It can help the student пустоachieve his goals and become diligent and perseverant. Teachers told students пустоnot to waste time uselessly as examination time at the end of semester was quite tough for students. Oscar spent endless days and nights on studying and cramming. Sometimes he cheated and was lucky as he was not caught by the teacher. Anyway, Oscar knew that student life was the brightest period of his life. It was a mixture of studies and great fun. Oscar was really happy to study at Manchester University.
