CALLING ALL INVENTORS!
Do you think you can invent something… something for Space or on Earth? Did you know that many inventions have been created for use in Space?
NASA has been responsible for creating many of our familiar and everyday objects. For example, the smoke detectors in your home were initially invented to protect a shuttle crew from any toxic gases. And cordless power drills were originally made to carry out repairs to shuttles while in space. Many inventions that have helped Man travel and live in Space have been adapted to make our lives here on Earth easier too.
Now we want to find some young inventors who could come up with ideas similar to those developed by the NASA programme. We are looking for practical ideas that could be used to make life easier on Earth … or may be to make life easier in Space! Not only will you and your friends need to come up with the idea, but you will have to think about developing and marketing the product. The prize is an amazing opportunity to visit NASA and their laboratories.
HOW TO ENTER?
Send your ideas and contact details to the address below by 4 August.
You should state what the invention is, why people on Earth or in Space would benefit from it, how it could be manufactured, and how you could market your product.
You must enter as a team of four friends and be aged 14-19 years old.
