2. Wireless Network
Wireless networks don’t require any wires. The most popular wireless technologies today are:

3. DSL – Digital Subscriber Line
DSL technology offers fast speed data transfer on the existing legacy telephony infrastructure. On the same line there could be a telephony signal for voice and DSL for data.
4. CATV – Cable
CATV – Community Access Cable Television Systems is usually called a cable. The cable supports TV communications at the same time with the Internet access.
5. Fiber optics
The fiber optics has the largest capacity. The problem with the fiber optics is the relatively high price.
6. Satellite Technology
Satellite technology has relatively high capacity, but it is quite expensive. It is the best solution for the isolated areas.
7. FSO – Free-space optical communication
Free-space optical communication technology is based on the propagation of light waves in free space. The technology uses visible and infrared light. It works on a lower frequency than the radio waves. Physical obstructions and weather conditions like fog and rain have a big impact on quality of the light wave signals.
8. Radio waves
The radio wave technology uses longer wavelengths than lightwaves. It has a lower attenuation (поглощение) and higher data capacity. The most popular use of the radio waves is in radio and television broadcasting and cellular communications.
